10:56 pm - How do you solve a problem like maria?

Berthe: She climbs a tree and scrapes her knee; her dress has got a tear
Sophia: She waltzes on her way to mass and whistles on the stairs
Berthe: And underneath her wimple she has curlers in her hair
Catherine: I've even heard her singing in the abbey
Agatha: She's always late for chapel
Sophia: But her penitence is real
Berthe: She's always late for everything!
Catherine: Except for every meal
Berthe: I hate to have to say it, but I very firmly feel
All four: Maria's not an asset to the abbey

Margaretta: I'd like to say a word in her behalf
R. Mother: Then say it Sister Margaretta
Margaretta: Maria makes me laugh!

R. Mother: How do you solve a problem like Maria
How do you catch a cloud and pin it down
Margaretta: How do you find the word that means Maria
Catherine: A flibbertigibbet
Sophia: A will-o'-the-wisp
Berthe: A clown

R. Mother: Many a thing you know you'd like to tell her
Many a thing she ought to understand
Berthe: But how do you make her stay and listen to all you say
R. Mother: How do you keep a wave upon the sand
Margaretta: How do you solve a problem like Maria
R. Mother: How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand

Sophia: When I'm with her I'm confused,
out of focus and bemused,
and I never know exactly where I am...
Agatha: Unpredictable as weather
Catherine: She is flightly as a feather
Margaretta: She's a darling
Berthe: She's a demon
Margaretta: She's a lamb

Sophia: She'd out pester any pest; drive a hornet from it's nest
Agatha: She could throw a whirling dervish out of whirl
Margaretta: She is gentle; she is wild
Catherine: She's a riddle; she's a child
Berthe: She's a headache
Margaretta: She's an angel
R. Mother: She's a girl...

All: How do you solve a problem like Maria
How do you catch a cloud and pin it down
How do you find the word that means Maria
Catherine: A flibbertigibbet
Margaretta & Sophia: A will-o'-the-wisp
Berthe: A clown
All: Many a thing you know you'd like to tell her
Many a thing she ought to understand
R. Mother: But how do you make her stay
Berthe: And listen to all you say
Margaretta: How do you keep a wave upon the sand
All: Oh how do you solve a problem like Maria...
How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand...

Surrender
from Andrew L Webber's Sunset Boulevard

No more wars to fight
White flags fly tonight
You are out of danger now
Battle field is still
Wild poppies on the hill
Peace can only come when you surrender
Here the tracers fly
Lighting up the sky
But I'll fight unto the end
Let them send their armies
I will never bend
I won't see you now till I surrender
I'll see you again when I surrender

Battle field is still
Wild poppies on the hill
Peace can only come when you surrender
Here the tracers fly
Lighting up the sky
But I'll fight unto the end
Let them send their armies
I will never bend
I won't see you now till I surrender
I'll see you again when I surrender

Game soundtracks are always a joy if they are composed to meet the mood of the game sequence. In Final Fantasy 7, a couple of my favourite tracks include :

Jenova
The track played when the party is confronted by the hideous Jenova, a hideous creature responsible for the catastrophe of the falling meteoroid. The battle also sees the initial summoning of Shiva, the Ice materia.

Costa Del Sol
As the party walks into the coastal city of Costa Del Sol, this track resounds to give that unique costa feel. A good dose of bossanova lifts the game to another dimension.

Caith Sith
The party meets Caith Sith a feline bunion at the Casino, The Gold Saucer, where the storyline unfolds with this new character (initially as a traitor) joins the party and how he eventually sacrifices himself for friendship. This tune brings out the sly and crafty appeal of Caith Sith wholesomely.

Cosmo Canyon
The Cosmo Canyon is the place where the lion tribe lives and where the cosmos memories evolve. The party reaches the cosmo canyon and found their true destiny. This is also where Nanaki was born. A very tribal abode of the lions, this percussive piece brings out the tribal picturesque of the Cosmo Canyon effectively.

Bugenhagen
Ho Ho Hoooo. If you ever are in need of my wisdom, you are always welcome here.

Cloud
Yeah, that's why we came.

Bugenhagen
What to do? Have you lost your way? When that happens we each have to take a good long look at ourselves.
There's always something in the deepest reaches of our hearts. Something buried, or something forgotten.
Remember it... Whatever that is, must certainly be what you are all looking for...

Cloud
That's easy enough to say... But, I can't remember a thing.

Bugenhagen
It must be there. Look harder!

Vincent
I don't know, Cloud. I think we should have everyone here.

Bugenhagen
Do you see it? What is it that you are searching for?

Cait Sith
Nope. Not a thing. Naw. Can't come up with a thing.

Yuffie
Me either! I don't get any of this!

Cloud
I remember Aeris a lot.
No... not that.
You haven't remembered.
You haven't forgotten.
That's not it...
How would you say it... Aeris was right there all along. Right by our side.
She was so close, we couldn't see her. What Aeris did... The words she left behind...

I sometimes wonder if the hand is not more sensitive to the beauties of sculpture than the eye. I should think the wonderful rhythmical flow of lines and curves could be more subtly felt than seen. Be this as it may, I know that I can feel the heart-throbs of the ancient Greeks in their marble gods and goddesses.

The stone unhewn and cold
Becomes a living mould,
The more the marble wastes
The more the statue grows.
